Military Medal 'For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty during the operations against the Passchendaele Ridge on 11th and 12th October 1917. On the he 11th worked
unceasingly, getting in the wounded of Units other than his own, and on the 12th, during the attack, while under heavy fire, he was unceasing in his attention to the wounded, bandaging them up and getting them to places of safety, and afterwards
to the regimental aid post.'
