Military Medal 'Operations E and W of Bapaume 25th August, 6th September 1918. This NCO during the last advance did some very good work in removing horses from lines
which were heavily shelled. He was continuously in command of limbers taking rations and ammunition up to the front line troops. Very often he had to pass
through heavy artillery barrages, but he always got through with a splendid determination and thereby set a splendid example to all ranks.'
