Tried by District Court Martial, Torquay, 14 February 1920, on charge of being absent without leave, 3 August 1919-5 February 1920; found 'Guilty': awarded forfeiture of 90 days' pay (gross); total forfeiture: 187 days' pay under Royal Warrant. Commenced return to New Zealand on board 'Tainui', 16 February 1920; discharged (termination of period of engagement), 2 May 1920.
