Distinguished Service Order

This officer has done consistent good work ever since the 1st Battery was formed. On many occasions, like other B.C.s, he has had to observe under heavy fire. Several times in Armentieres his battery was heavily shelled, and he acted with great coolness and decision. On many occasions his battery has had to cut wire at close ranges. He is an excellent B.C., and I consider is worthy of recognition. He commanded the Battery in the heavy fighting at Gallipoli.
