Military Medal 'At Delville Wood, On 13th and 15th September. For good work and devotion to duty. This NCO has served continuously since leaving with the Main Body. Did
splendid work on Gallipoli. When his gun was put out of action by 8" shell, organised relief, got his gun into action again, and carried on. Was under very
heavy shell fire on 13th, again on September 15th when his gun was again put out of action, helped men out and were buried, and got gun into action again.'
