Wounded in action, 8 June 1917 (gassed), and admitted to No 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, and transferred same day to 2nd Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport (gas poison shell: slight); marched into Machine Gun Corps Base Depot, Camiers, 26 June 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 8 July 1917.

Killed in action, 12 October 1917.
