Military Medal 'For conspicuous coolness under fire and devotion to duty during the period 25th February 1918 to 16/17th September 1918. Mano has always carried out his duty as Company Stretcher Bearer in a highly efficient manner. On 22nd May his Company was working at Colincamps and came under heavy enemy shelling. Some shells burst among a party of machine gunners near by and Mano at considerable risk to himself proceeded to the spot and carried a wounded man about 300 yards to a place of safety.'
