Military Cross 'For devotion to duty and consistent good work. This Officer has been Adjutant to the Battalion since 20th January 1918, when he returned after recovering from wounds received at Passchendaele. He has been untiring in his energies and has during the whole time rendered valuable service to the Battalion. During operations in March and April, and in minor operations at Hebuterne in July, and in the attack east of Havincourt Wood his work was of the greatest assistance in making these operations successful. Previous to this he also did excellent work in a Platoon, and as Battalion Bombing Officer.'
