Mention in Despatches 'For conspicuous gallantry and initiative. On 4th November 1918, during operations near La Basse Ville this Officer led his company with great dash and devotion to duty. His coolness and disregard of danger were a splendid example to all ranks and his initiative contributed largely to the raid overwhelming of the enemy resistance.'
