Wounded in action, 4 June 1916 (gun shot wound, right thigh); admitted to 8th Stationary Hospital, Boulogne, 7 June 1916; transferred to No 5 Convalescent Depot, Wimereux, 11 June 1916; to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 24 June 1916; rejoined unit, 14 July 1916.
