Military Medal 'For bravery and good work during the operations near Colincamps on 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st March 1918. During an attack on a strongly held enemy post his platoon commander was killed, and Sergeant Hine at once took command, and pushing on with the utmost dash, captured the post and consolidated it with skill. Though his flank was exposed he held on for some 12 hours till the situation was cleared up by a further attack.'
