Injuried by fall of bomb proof shelter, Anzac Cove, 26 July 1915, and admitted to No.1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, Anzac Cove, the same day (double fracture of left humerus); transferred to Cottonera Military Hospital, Malta,, 31 July 1915; to HS 'Goorkha', 18 August 1915; to No.3 London General Hospital, Wandsworth, 27 August 1915; discharged to furlough, 11 October 1915; marched into Australia & NZ Depot, Weymouth, 25 October 1915.
