Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On 29th September 1918, in operations about Bon Avis Ridge, when all the Officers of the Company had been wounded he took command and skillfully led the Company. It was mainly due to the courage and skilful leadership of this Warrant Officer. He set a splendid example to all ranks.'
