This N.C.O. as Company Quartermaster Sergeant during the phase of operations from midnight 16/17th September 1918 until cessation of hostilities. He performed his work well under partivularly difficult and trying circumstances and his devotion to duty ensured that rations were always delivered to his Company and that the men of his Company were well fed.'
