Military Medal 'For devotion to duty during the period between midnight 16/17th September 1918 and cessation of hostilities November 11th 1918, while in charge of traffic posts. At times the advanced traffic posts were subjected to heavy shelling and on these ocasions the successful regulation of traffic is a difficult job. By his rady resource and careful attention to his duties this N.c.O. greatly assisted in keeping the roads clear for important and urgent traffic.'
