Admitted to Hospital Section, 2nd Australian Field Ambulance, 29 April 1915 (sprained ankle); transferred to Egypt, and admitted to No 2 General Hospital (Ghezireh Palace), Cairo, 8 May 1915; date of discharge not recorded. Embarked Alexandria, 26 May 1915; rejoined unit at Gallipoli, 4 June 1915.
