On two occasions he dealt skillfully with a nasty situation, once when a gap occurred between his own and the Coy and his flank and later when a party of 8 enemy offered resistance he got together men from another Coy and attacked them killing one and capturingseven. Throughout operations in September last he did fine work as a Coy Signaller. Strength of Raid 15 officers and 516 ordinary ranks.'
