Military Medal 'For gallantry and devotion to duty. During the attack of the New Zealand Division east of Ypres on the 4th of October, Lance Corporal Moffat displayed
conspicuous gallantry in laying and maintaining lines under heavy fire. He was wounded while mending a broken wire.'
