Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 12 November 1916 (sprained ankle); rejoined Bn, 17 November 1916.

Admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 22 May 1917 (sprained ankle: injury sustained in performance of military duty; soldier in no way to blame); transferred to Divisional Rest Station, 26 May 1917; to No 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 27 May 1917; discharged to unit, 9 July 1917; rejoined Bn, 14 July 1917.
