Military Medal 'Operations: British front in the vicinity of the Foret de Mormal 5th November 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the above operations Private George was in command of a section. When the advance was held up by machine gun fire he rushed his section in from the flank capturing the machine gun thus allowing the advance to continue. By this brave and quick action he
undoubtedly saved many casualties.'
