He worked unceasingly without sparing himself and without thought of his own safety and materially assisted in getting the captured ground cleared of our wounded. His work was carried out at times under very heavy enemy fire but he nevertheless continued it with great coolness and perserverance. His work was of a very high standard throughout.'
