Military Medal 'On 16th October, near St Julien, Sapper Fogelberg showed conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He maintained communications between Sub and Main Groups Field Artillery during a period of heavy enemy shelling. To do this he had to move twice through an exceptionally heavy 5.9 inch barrage which had also ignited several ammunition dumps in the vicinity. Sapper Fogelberg showed complete disregard of this dangerous fire and his action was courageous.'
