Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 5 March 1917, and transferred to No 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station (pyrexia unknown origin); to No 68 Stationary Hospital, Wimereux, 8 March 1917; to No 1 Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 20 March 1917; to Base Depot, Etaples, 25 March 1917; to 24th General Hospital, 24 April 1917 (mumps); to No 6 Convalescent Depot, Etaples, 24 May 1917; rejoined unit, 18 June 1917.

Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 13 August 1917 (diarrhoea); rejoined unit, 18 August 1917.

Reported missing, 12 October 1917.
