Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the operations against Bancourt on 30th August the R.M.O. was wounded. Private Donghi gave valuable
assistance to the Chaplain who had organised an regimental aid post. He acted as a stretcher bearer and assisted with the dressing of the wounded for some hours under extremely heavy shell fire, and in a very exposed position. He displayed great bravery and set a splendid example throughout.'
