Military Medal 'For gallant conduct and devotion to duty, during operations near Abraham Heights on 12/13th October 1917. When in charge of the Company Ration Party he
repeatedly took his men through very heavy barrages, and always succeeded in keeping his Company supplied, under the most trying circumstances. His exceptional coolness and determination was worthy of the highest praise, and was a great encouragement to his party.'
