Transferred to NZ Rifle Brigade, 21 February 1918; posted to C Company, 5 April 1918.

Admitted to 1/3 East Lancashire Field Ambulance, 9 June 1918 (not yet diagnosed), and transferred same day to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance; to 3rd Canadian Stationary Hospital, 14 June 1918; to Ambulance Train No 12, 16 June 1918 (influenza), and admitted to 6th General Hospital. Transferred to No 2 Convalescent Depot, 21 June 1918; to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 25 June 1918.

Commenced return to New Zealand from Plymouth on board HT 'Ruahine', 19 May 1919; discharged, 5 August 1919.
