Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty near Puisiex au Mont on 21st August 1918. Rifleman Dalzell was detailed to establish liaison with a flank company and found that the area between the two companies was still in the possession of the enemy. Single handed he bombed a number of dugouts and captured five enemy. Dalzell also located a machine-gun in action and taking three men with him
he rushed the post and captured the gun.'
