Military Medal 'For gallant conduct and devotion to duty in operations near Gravenstafel on 4th
? 6th October 1917 when Acting Adjutant. The Commanding Officer was wounded
early in the engagement. Lieutenant Crosse carried on until eventually relieved by
the senior Officer. Throughout the whole operations he displayed marked
devotion to duty. At all times he has carried out his duties with marked ability.'
