Military Medal 'Action before Favreuil north of Bapaume on 25th August 1918 and on following days. On 25th and 26th August 1918 he drove his Ambulance Car from the Aid Post to the Advanced Dressing Station Achiet le Petit for 36 hours along a road subject to hostile shelling. His courage and endurance enabled the work of evacuation of the wounded to be more speedily effected.'
