Admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 6 October 1917 (old wound: severe); transferred to Convalescent Depot, Hornchurch, 19 October 1917; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 23 November 1917.

Married Ruby Mabel Skipper, spinster, at St Mishall's Church, Woodgreen, 28 November 1917.
