Admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 9 July 1916 (synovitis, right knee); transferred to 30th General Hospital, Calais, 10 July 1916; to England, 13 July 1916, and admitted to 2nd London General Hospital, 14 July 1916; to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 16 November 1916; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 21 November 1916.
