Posted to Wellington Mounted Rifles, Bir Mosefig, 31 October 1916. Admitted to Mounted Rifles Field Ambulance, Masaid, 5 January 1917 (enteritis); transferred same day to 26th Casualty Clearing Station, Ismailia; discharged to duty, 13 January 1917; rejoined unit, El Arish, 14 January 1917.
