Wounded in action, 26 March 1918 (gun shot wound, right chest). Transferred from 3rd London General Hospital to No 1 New Zealand General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 11 April 1918.

Struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, with effect from 13 August 1919, and absorbed into the 12th (Nelson and Marlborough) Regiment, Territorial Force, with the rank of Lieutenant.
