Found guilty, 14 March 1916, of being absent without leave: forfeited 8 days' pay.

Admitted to No 1 NZ Stationary Hospital, 1 September 1916 (sick: no details recorded).

Found guilty, 3 November 1916, of while on Active Service (1) refusing to obey of a GMP; (2) striking a GMP; (3) using obscene language in a public road; (4) resisting arrest: awarded 14 days' detention, and forfeited 14 days' pay.

Found guilty of being absent without leave from 7 pm parade, 29 May 1917: forfeited 5 days' pay.

Wounded in action; admitted to 13th Australian General Hospital; transferred to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames, 11 June 1917 (gun shot wound, nose); to Convalescent Depot, Hornchurch, 23 June 1917; discharged on leave, 27 July 1917, to report to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 11 August 1917.

Fond guilty, 11 August 1917, of being absent without leave from 2 pm, 11 August, to 6.10 pm, 12 August 1917: forfeited 2 days' pay and a further 2 days' pay.
