Found guilty, 15 May 1917, of being absent from billet from Reveille Roll Call, 6 am, till 5 pm: forfeited 1 day's pay; forfeited further 10 days' pay.

Transferred from A to D Company, 15 August 1917.

Wounded in action, 11 October 1917 (gun shot wound, left foot), and admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance; transferred same day to No 3 Australian Casualty Clearing Station; to 22nd General Hospital, Camiers, 12 October 1917; to England, 22 October 1917, and admitted to City of London Military Hospital, 23 October 1917; to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch. Discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 19 January 1918.

Found guilty of being absent without leave from 2 pm, 4 February, to 2 pm, 13 February 1918: deprived of 10 days' pay, and forfeited 10 days' pay.

Granted leave, 8 March-8 April 1918 to assist Mr J. Calder, Tarland, Aberdeenshire.

Marched into NZ (Reserve) Brigade, Brocton, 13 May 1918.
