Medals

Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty on October 8th, 1918, near Crevecouer. Rifleman Allison was detailed as runner between forward Brigade Centre and the Battalions, and in spite of exceedingly heavy shell fire managed throughout the operation to get all messages forward. This entailed very arduous and exceedingly dangerous work, but his duties were carried out cheerfully and most gallantly. Throughout a very trying operation his cheerfulness and courage under intense shell fire was a magnificent example to the section.'
