Military Medal 'This man formed one of the raiding parties which raided the enemy's trench on the night of the 1st/2nd July. He was shot through the thigh while in "No Man?s Land", shortly after leaving our trenches, and although in great pain he proceeded forward with the party and performed his allotted task as a bomber showing great bravery and endurance.'
