Military Medal 'Operations: British Front before Puisieux 14th/15th August 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the above operation Private Wilson was in command of a section that encountered an enemy machine gun. He bombed the position and rushed it fully 20 yards in front of the rest of his section. He killed one man and captured the machine gun and two prisoners. He then mounted the captured gun and turned it on the retreating enemy.'
