Embarked Auckland, 14 October 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 29 December 1916, and marched into Sling Camp.

Marched out Sling Camp, 1 February 1917, and proceeded overseas to France; joined Maori (Pioneer) Bn, in the field, 25 May 1917.

Admitted to Field Ambulance, 5 August 1917 (scabies); admitted to Casualty Clearing Station, 5 August 1917; discharged to duty, 18 August 1917; rejoined unit, 22 August 1917.

On leave, 8 September 1918; rejoined unit from leave, 26 September 1918.

Admitted to Field Ambulance, 19 December 1918 (influenza); transferred to Casualty Clearing Station, 19 December 1918; to No 14 General Hospital, Wimereux, 22 December 1918; placed on Dangerously Ill List, 23 December 1918

Died of influenza, 27 December 1918.
