Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion duty during operations against the Passchendaele Ridge on 12th, 13th, and 14th October 1917. After the line had been
consolidated Rifleman Turner, under very heavy machine gun and rifle fire, without regard for himself and with conspicuous bravery, rescued a wounded man who was drowning in a shell hole, and carried him to a position of safety.'
