Passchendaele Offensive on 12th October 1917, he handled his Company with judgment and skill, and displayed most courage under heavy fire. As second in
Command of the Battalion, he has done consistently excellent work, displaying great energy. I cannot speak too highly of the manner in which this Officer
performs his duty.'
