Military Medal 'During the attack in Messines on June 7th Private Tennant performed the duties of runner and during heavy bombardments carried many messages to Battalion
Headquarters and to the Headquarters of the Companies holding the line near our consolidated position. This soldier showed great devotion to duty and the willing
way he carried out his duties during the period of the attack and also in the preparatory operations set a fine example of all.'
