Meritorious Service Medal 'For good service and devotion to duty in the field during the period 25th February ? 16th September 1918. He has displayed great efficiency in carrying out his duties as C.Q.M.S. during period dating from his appointment 18 months ago. An extremely hard worker, he has shown organising powers and energy of a very high standard. His work has always been most satisfactory and his resourcefulness most marked.'
