During the period 26th February to 20th December 1917 this NCO as Orderly Room Sergeant, has been unceasing in the performance of his duties day and night. His energy and reliability have had a marked effect on the efficiency of the administrative work of the Battalion. He joined the Battalion as a private in August 1914, and served throughout the whole Gallipoli Campaign. In August 1915 he was appointed orderly Room Clerk, and has served consistently till the present date, and has always displayed marked ability and the utmost devotion to duty.
