'For gallantry in action east of Ploegsteert Wood on 13th and 14th June 1917. During the night of 13/14th June the left flank of his Company came under very heavy fire and the left post was forced to retire. Lance Corporal Still did excellent work, patrolling the exposed flank and re-establishing touch. Later in the night he went out under heavy fire and obtained touch with the posts of the Companies on the flanks of the Company's position. The example which he set to his men was most inspiring.'
