Meritorious Service Medal 'Operations: Belle Vue Spur - 4th October to 20th October 1917 and Polderhoek Sector - 9th December 1917 to 22nd February 1918.This N.C.O. has rendered very valuable and conscientious service to this Battalion in the capacity, first of orderly room clerk, and for the last twelve months as staff sergeant. His work has always been performed in a most capable manner, and he has never spared himself in the thorough and efficient performance of his duties.'
