Military Medal 'For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty near Crevecouer on 8th October 1918. During the attack on the 8th October Corporal Rowe was assigned the
difficult task of guiding the Right Flank of the Battalion, which was unsupported by flanking troops. After passing Lesdain the flank was threatened by a party of the enemy in a Quarry. Corporal Rowe, immediately realising the seriousness of the position, gathered six men and rushed the stronghold, reducing the threatened danger and taking over 20 prisoners.'
