'For consistent devotion to duty during the period under review (September 17th to November 11th 1918). Lance Corporal Rogers had been employed at Brigade Headquarters as typist clerk, and in spite of the fact that during operations his duties were necessarily performed under most adverse conditions, his work has always been of the highest standard, and has always been cheerfully carried out whether by night or by day. His example has proved of the utmost value to the rest of the Officer Staff.'
