Meritorious Service Medal 'This Warrant Officer has served continuously since the Main Body left New Zealand in October 1914. Since February, 1916, he has been the senior clerk in the officer of the A.D.M.S. During the period under review (25.2.18 to 16.9.18) he has
exhibited qualities which have at all times characterised his work, viz, an untiring devotion to his duties and un-exampled efficiency in the execution. Under the most trying conditions of rapid movement of the Division and inadequate
accommodation he has never omitted to complete the numerous routine and other returns demanded of this Office, and their accuracy and completeness has been frequently commented on by higher authority. This Warrant Officer was awarded the Military Medal for gallantry under fire at Anzac, Gallipoli, in April and May, 1915. He was also mentioned for an Act of Courage in Orders of Fourth Army on 4.2.18.'
