Military Medal 'For great gallantry and devotion to duty. Sgt Prebble commanded a platoon throughout the operation round Messines on the 7th June 1917. He displayed
clearness of decision, quickness of action, and excellent control. He led his platoon courageously and well during the advance and rendered valuable service throughout the consolidation of the new line.'
